Décadas de 1930 e 1940. Fundada por irlandeses, a cidadezinha de Serranias, Minas Gerais, é conhecida como a Cidade das Bruxas. Eva Sullivan é uma pianista famosa internacionalmente que, depois de dez anos na Irlanda, retorna à sua cidade-natal, que ela considera berço de pessoas medíocres e supersticiosas. Ao contrário de Eva, Nina é simples e nasceu com o dom para a magia, mas procura não exercê-lo. Nina só não vai conseguir dominar os tais dotes quando perder o noivo, Conrado, para a irmã Eva. Ao reencontrar o rapaz, que um dia fora apaixonado por ela, Eva não pensa duas vezes e lança seu charme. Para ajudá-la a conquistá-lo de vez e tirar Nina de seu caminho, a pianista conta com o apoio de uma grande e perigosa aliada: Zilda, uma “bruxa do mal”. As bruxas do bem e do mal de Serranias terão que enfrentar o historiador Flávio Falcão. Totalmente cético, ele chega à cidade para provar em sua tese de doutorado que bruxas não existem.
PLOT:
1930s and 1940s. Founded by the Irish, the small town of Serranias, Minas Gerais, is known as the City of Witches. Eva Sullivan is an internationally famous pianist who, after ten years in Ireland, returns to her hometown, which she considers to be the birthplace of mediocre and superstitious people. Unlike Eva, Nina is simple and was born with the gift of magic, but tries not to exercise it. Nina will only not be able to master these skills when she loses her fiancé, Conrado, to her sister Eva. Upon meeting the boy, who was once in love with her, Eva doesn't think twice and turns on her charm. To help her win him over once and for all and get Nina out of her way, the pianist has the support of a great and dangerous ally: Zilda, an “evil witch”. The good and evil witches of Serranias will have to face the historian Flávio Falcão. Totally skeptical, he arrives in the city to prove in his doctoral thesis that witches do not exist.
